How To Install Butterfly Valve？
The ventilation butterfly valve can be installed in any direction, but it is better to install it vertically, especially for large-size valves, so as to reduce the load on the shaft caused by the actuator or gearbox trying to pull apart.
Before installation, confirm the materials of butterfly valve, valve seat and disc. Ensure that there are no defects caused by storage or transportation. Verify the pressure rating and application requirements of the valve.
When installed directly on pumps or other valves, make sure there is space for dust collector pipe between them so that the butterfly valve disc can be opened.
Complete all welding work before installing the electric butterfly valve and ensure that the flange has been cooled to ambient temperature before installing the butterfly valve.
Clean the flange surface that will be in contact with the butterfly valve to ensure that it is free of rust and sundries. If necessary, wash with water or mild detergent.
